Logo OIM Founded in 1951, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) is the main intergovernmental organization in the field of migration. IOM operates to:
  • support economic and social development through migration;
  • uphold the dignity and well being of migrants;

Logo Laboratorio Migrazioni e Sviluppo The Laboratorio Migrazioni e Sviluppo is a forum for debate, analysis, planning and formulation of operational, cultural and political proposals on issues concerning migration and development and their interrelationship. Its participating partners are ACLI, ARCI, ARCS, CeSPI, the ETIMOS Consortium, IPSIA, UCODEP and WWF Italy. The forum is open to collaboration and dialogue with institutions, migrant community associations and interest groups operating at a national or international level. ACLI (the Italian Christian Workers’ Associations)

Logo ACLI ACLI is a lay Christian organisation which, through a network of clubs, businesses, projects and associations, has contributed for over 60 years to fostering social engagement, with an emphasis on participatory and democratic forms of involvement. ACLI promotes work and the interests of workers, educates and encourages active citizenship, and protects, helps and supports citizens, particularly those who are marginalised or at risk of social exclusion.

ARCI

Logo ARCI ARCI is an independent association dedicated to social and civil empowerment. Encompassing a large number of clubs and members, ARCI provides a broad range of opportunities for democratic participation. ARCI is committed to fostering the growth of common interest groups as a contributing factor to social cohesion, and as a vehicle for civil and democratic engagement and the affirmation of peace and of citizens’ rights against all forms of discrimination and exclusion.

ARCS – ARCI Culture and development

Logo ARCS ARCS is an NGO within the ARCI network. Its mission is to support children and young people and promote the social empowerment of women. It is also engaged in humanitarian emergency interventions and is committed to the expansion of international voluntary efforts. Its key goal is to foster and uphold the democratic participation process by encouraging the establishment of all forms of community interest groups and associations.

CeSPI (the Centre for International Political Studies)

Logo CeSPI CeSPI is an independent non-profit organisation that conducts studies and research aimed at improving international cooperation and local and global development policies. CeSPI’s work addresses various political, economic, financial, social and environmental issues, with a special focus on the link between migration and development. CeSPI analyses the role of migrants as actors of international relations and key agents of local development in their destination and origin countries. CeSPI has carried out important research in the area of remittances and the financial and economic participation of migrants, which has led to the creation of this site.

Etimos

Logo Etimos Etimos is an international financial consortium with its main headquarters in Padua, Italy and branches in Senegal, Sri Lanka and Argentina. For almost twenty years, it has collected and managed savings, investing them in developing countries in support of microcredit programmes, producer cooperatives, micro-entrepreneurial initiatives and organisations working for social empowerment.

IPSIA (the Institute for Peace Development and Innovation of the ACLI network)

UCODEP

Logo UCODEP UCODEP is a group of men and women working in Italy and around the world to eliminate injustice and poverty and build a world in which all people, without discrimination, can exercise their rights and create a dignified life for themselves in a peaceful society based on solidarity. UCODEP works in conjunction with vulnerable communities to facilitate participatory local development processes in the following areas: economic justice, access to essential services, social participation, governance and humanitarian aid.
